On 5th June 2013 the Construction company of Danube Bridge Vidin – Calafat, “FCC Construction – Branch Bulgaria”AD is handing over the construction to construction supervision “INGEROP BG/HIGH POINT RENDEL” with the signing of “Ascertainment Protocol for establishing the acceptability of the construction”- (ACT 15)

On 13th June 2013 was signed Act 16 for Danube Bridge Vidin - Calafat.

The official opening of Danube Bridge Vidin - Calafat was on 14th June 2013 at 16:00 pm. Official guests of the event were Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski, the President of the National Assembly Mikov, Minister of Transport Information Technologies and Communications Daniel Papazov, Romanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta, members of the two governments, the European Commissioner for Regional Policy Johannes Hahn, participants in the project over the years. Opening made His Holiness the Bulgarian Patriarch Neophyte together with His Eminence Metropolitan of Vidin Dometian and representatives of Bulgarian and Romanian Orthodox Church. Bulgarian and Romanian workers cut the ribbon.

Danube Bridge Vidin - Calafat is open to traffic from 00:00 h on 15.06.2013.
